Meeting the Music Industry and more

One amazing thing about the music industry is the amount of opportunities scattered around. Take conferences for example, events that help unite professionals from various sides of the business and welcome in a new generation of professionals.

Ditto X was a day that we were lucky enough to work at this year, with faces from Fierce Panda Records, BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio, COLORS, MMF, Pirate Studios, and more.

It stood out to us how the day was packed with practical tips for many artist facing sides including music production, booking shows, running a record label and more; guidance we get glimpses of, but usually end up going over our heads, or end up as a lost bookmark on our phones. You’ll find an example of a small list of notes we managed to collect from the gig, but wished was longer in this blog’s header image.

It had us thinking, maybe there’s a demand for this kind of coverage, for the people that have plans on the date, can’t afford the tickets, or are miles away from an event.

This is something that we’ll be looking for solutions for going forward. A board full of quotes, rules of practice, email addresses and answered questions for students and young people to access. It may take some time, but I think would be a limitless tool for networkers and entrepreneurs going forward.

We’ll be looking for a group of event-goers, staff and panelists open to providing coverage from events and programmes all over the country (and possibly beyond). Watch this space for more, and if anything springs to mind for you, be sure to dm us or email, we’d love to hear from you.

Thanks so much for reading, here’s a small token of our thanks.
